Autism in girls often goes unrecognised, resulting in many women being diagnosed in adulthood. Despite emerging research into the female experience showing that autism presents differently in women, a deeper level of understanding is needed among medical professionals and society as a whole. Finding out you're autistic after years of challenges can be both life-affirming and overwhelming; HER autism seeks to support, signpost and share advice to women on this journey.

🌈 HER autism is fully inclusive of those who identify as transgender and non-binary. Pronouns are used to demonstrate scientific research into the female experience of autism and how it can present differently.
